Extra tall fish tanks are becoming popular. When most people picture fish tanks in their heads, they think of ones that are wider than they are tall. But do they really have to be this way?
There are actually a few benefits to having extra tall fish tanks. For one, they take up less useful floor space. They can also be very interesting and attractive additions to a home. Of course, there are a few problems with some of them. It can be more difficult to clean extra tall fish tanks – it is harder to reach in and scrape algae off the sides from the bottom. Also, the tend to offer fewer places for fish to hide and play and may have excess “empty” space at the top. It is, however, possible to fill this space with fake corals or a trunk, etc.
